P.S. columnist publishes new coffee table volume

What do Laura and George Bush, Hillary Clinton, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Joseph Lieberman, Geraldo Rivera, Itzhak Perlman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jerry Reinsdorf, and Alex Trebek have in common?  They are all highlighted with local Tucsonans in Sharon Klein’s new coffee table book, “Let’s Schmooze About Your News: Reflections of the P.S. Columnist.”

The 285-page book, archiving Klein’s columns in the Arizona Jewish Post, is a snapshot of Tucson Jewish communal life from 1991-2020.

Klein has always prided herself on being a human-interest columnist. Her no-gossip column covered the lives of local folks, telling of travel, simchas, and other activities. She took joy in interviewing subjects, learning their stories in order to highlight them in each newsy segment.  Her introduction reflects on the progression from her half-page beginnings in black-and-white, at first with no photos, to the more recent full-page columns in color.
