Tucson Hebrew Academy recently hired Dorron Blumberg as its director of marketing, communications, and advancement. Blumberg brings over a decade of marketing expertise to THA to amplify the school’s mission and reach. He is dedicated to showcasing THA’s educational programs, rooted in traditional Jewish values, to more families across the Tucson area.
Blumberg was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but spent most of his childhood in Texas and Florida. When his family first moved to the Sunshine State, he attended Posnack Jewish Day School. That experience helped shape his identity and set him up for future success. As Dorron recalls, “After coming from another country, attending a Jewish day school made me feel like I was at home.”
During his years in higher education, Blumberg earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University while playing football on the college team. He later completed a master’s degree from the Art Institute, which launched his long-standing career in marketing and graphic design.
Outside of work, Blumberg is passionate about personal development, community building, and helping others grow. A firm believer in mindset coaching, he often blends motivational tools with marketing strategy to inspire individuals and organizations alike.
His wife, Leanne Blumberg, taught at a Jewish day school in Florida for several years and has fostered a strong culture of learning and tradition in their home. Together, they care for a lively household of nine animals, including five dogs, two cats, a bird, and a tortoise.
At his core, Blumberg says, he is driven by a simple goal: to uplift others through creativity, clarity, and connection. He is passionate about moving Tucson Hebrew Academy forward and guaranteeing its story resonates with both current families and future generations.
Through strategic outreach, innovative campaigns, and heartfelt community engagement, Blumberg continues to share the values of Jewish education with the Greater Tucson area, including heritage, excellence, and belonging.
Johanna B. Shlomovitch, MBA, THA Head of School, says, “With his expertise in marketing analytics, Dorron will guide us in making smarter, data-informed marketing decisions. As a proud Jewish Day School alum, he is especially excited to reengage THA’s alumni community and showcase their inspiring stories of success.”
