Rabbis will compare beliefs at Handmaker lecture

Three Tucson rabbis representing three streams of Judaism will participate in “This I Believe,” part of the  rabbi lecture series at Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging, on Sunday, April 10, from 3:30-5 p.m. in the great room at Handmaker.

Rabbi Yossi Shemtov of Congregation Young Israel-Chabad, Rabbi Thomas Louchheim of Congregation Or Chadash and Rabbi Robert Eisen of Congregation Anshei Israel will give an introduction to their basic beliefs in historical order: Orthodox, Reform and Conservative, says Nanci Levy, Handmaker community outreach coordinator.

Incoming Handmaker Board Chair Phil Bregman will introduce the rabbis and moderate a Q&A session after they speak.
