Young artists portray Joseph’s ‘Dreamcoat,’ win tickets

An independent panel of judges has chosen the winners of the Arizona Jewish Post’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” art contest, in partnership with Broadway in Tucson. The winners each receive a pair of tickets to the show’s opening night on Jan. 7 at UA Centennial Hall.

The winner in the age 6-8 category is Lily Rhodes, age 7, a second-grade student at Tucson Hebrew Academy. Lily incorporated 12 stars and 12 ears of corn and  into her design, relating to a dream the young Joseph told to his 11 brothers and another dream he interpreted for the Pharaoh in Egypt.

The winner in the age 9-12 category is Haya Gibly, age 9, a fifth-grade student at Sunrise Elementary School, who drew Joseph wearing his striped coat of many colors.
