Chabad ‘Spa for the Soul’ aims to help women find balance

Chabad of Tucson will hold a “Spa for the Soul” event for women on Sunday, Feb. 16, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort.

The event will begin with an hour of mini spa treatments and health and beauty consultations, plus vendor tables and raffles. A luncheon will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with keynote speaker Bronya Shaffer. Her address, “What Women Want,” will explore the many facets of women’s lives today, including work, family, love and intimacy, sensuality and spirituality.

Born in France and raised and educated in Montreal, Shaffer now lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she serves as a counselor and mentor to women, couples and adolescents. A responder for Chabad.org’s Ask the Rabbi service, she most famously taught Oprah Winfrey the secret of successful marriages.

“We all have a lot going on in our lives,” says Feigie Ceitlin of Chabad of Tucson, “and can surely use a little break to balance our physical, emotional and mental well-being. This will be an afternoon spent for yourself, which will ultimately be beneficial to those around you.”

Admission is $54. RSVP by Feb. 10 at www.chabadtucson.com. For more information, call 869-4971 or email women@ChabadTucson.com.
