Panel on kids’ safety to cover bullies, internet

What can parents and grandparents do to help keep kids safe? Temple Emanu-El’s Women of Reform Judaism will present “Keep Our Kids Safe,” a free panel discussion about helping children navigate difficult issues, on Sunday, Jan. 13 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The panel will cover the following topics: “Stand Up to Bullies: How to Help Your Kids be Tougher Than the Bullies,” with John Leipsic, M.D., assistant professor of child psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and director of pediatric psychiatric consultation and liaison services at the UA Medical Center; “Internet Safety for Children” with Alexei Guren, assistant director of information technology at the American Board of Radiology; and “Cyberbullying: Bullying in the Digital Age” with Sheri Bauman, Ph.D., professor and director of the counseling and mental health program at the UA.
