PAMELA HEIMAN DUBIN, M.D., has been named care manager for SELECT Care Managers, a service of JEWISH FAMILY & CHILDREN’S SERVICES OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA. Previously, Dubin practiced medicine for one and a half years and was a science officer with Weil Lifestyles for seven years. She is a volunteer with the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and Tucson Hebrew Academy.
DAVID IRA GOLDSTEIN, artistic director of the ARIZONA THEATER COMPANY, will leave ATC in December 2013. Over 21 seasons, Goldstein produced more than 200 plays, workshops and other presentations in Tucson and Phoenix and directed more than 40 main stage productions. His many honors and awards include the 2003 Governor’s Arts Award as Individual Artist for his contributions to the arts in Arizona, and the 2010 Leader of the Year Award in Arts and Humanities from the Capitol Times. Before coming to Arizona, he was associate artistic director of ACT Theatre in Seattle. He has been a visiting instructor and director at Arizona State University, University of Washington, University of Minnesota and University of Northern Iowa. He has served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and several regional arts commissions. Goldstein plans to remain in Arizona with his wife, KJZZ radio announcer Michele Robins. Along with spending more time with family, he will pursue artistic projects and teaching opportunities.
THE COHON MEMORIAL FOUNDATION is accepting nominations through Sept. 1 for the 2013 Cohon Award.
