Rabbi Lobb deserves our thanks

When Rabbi Shafir Lobb was first visiting Congregation Ner Tamid eight years ago, I was assigned the job of helping to make the landing in Tucson as soft as possible.  Now eight years later, I would like to acknowledge the contribution that Rabbi Shafir made beyond the Jewish community to the community at large.

Rabbi Shafir represented a voice in our community that said, “if there can be no peace for others, then there can be no peace for us.” And she not only talked the talk, but she walked the walk.

Thank you, Rabbi Shafir.  May you be blessed on your way.
