Tucson Padres to hold Jewish Heritage Night

The Outreach Connections of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona is sponsoring Jewish Heritage Night at a Tucson Padres baseball game on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at Kino Park (formerly Tucson Electric Park). The Padres will play against the Sacramento River Cats.

Cosponsors of the event include Beth Shalom Temple Center (Green Valley), Congregations Anshei Israel, Bet Shalom, Chaverim, Kol Simchah, M’kor Hayim and Or Chadash, Temple Emanu-El, Jewish Family & Children’s Services, Jewish History Museum, Tucson Hebrew Academy, Tucson Jewish Community Center, Brandeis National Committee-Tucson Chapter, Hadassah Southern Arizona and Jewish War Veterans-Friedman-Paul Post 201.

The Jewish War Veterans will be the color guard for the start of the game. Jewish community members plan to sit in the general admissions area on the third base side of the park.

Tickets are $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors 55+ and children 6-16 years. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Karen Graham at 577-9393, ext. 118, or kgraham@jfsa.org. A portion of each ticket will benefit the JFSA’s Outreach Connections.
