S’mores and scholarships for camp night, fair

Temple Emanu-El will host a Jewish camp night on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 5:30 pm at Reid Park Ramada #20 and a Jewish camp fair on Sunday, Jan. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the synagogue.

Representatives from Jewish overnight camps from across the country will be available to meet with youth and parents. Camp directors will have interactive activities for youth and families to try out at the camp night including crafting friendship bracelets, games, kumsitz (song circle) and making s’mores. There will be a dairy potluck dinner at the camp night as well as a Havdallah ceremony, led by the Temple Emanu-El Kurn Religious School 5th grade class.

Information on scholarships, including the JWEST Campership program and the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona’s camp scholarship program, will be available at the camp fair. Pizza will be sold for $2 per slice.
