Multi-faith pride service to launch exhibit of sacred items

The Third Annual Multi-Faith Pride Worship Service, “Just Be —Emerging Out of the Wilderness,” cosponsored by the Wingspan Multi-Faith Working Group and the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona’s LGBT Jewish Inclusion Project, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 915 E. 4th St.

“Shower of Stoles,” an exhibit of liturgical stoles and other sacred items representing the lives of LGBT people from various faith traditions, will begin at the service and continue through Oct. 15, with viewing hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact 622-6481 or sylviats @cox.net for more information.

A reception will follow the service. Free parking is available in the adjacent Tyndall Avenue parking garage — parking coupons will be available at the service.
