Local authors to read at Hadassah book swap

Hadassah Southern Arizona will hold an ice cream social and book swap/sale on Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at Congregation Young Israel.

Two local Jewish authors, Roni Capin Rivera-Ashford and Sheldon Sid Brodkin, will read from their works. Brodkin is the author of a novel, “Boro Park, Vegas and All the In-Betweens.”

Raffle tickets for books and related items will be available for purchase. Admission is a minimum donation of $10, which includes a door prize ticket. Proceeds will benefit Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. Walk-ins welcome. For more information, call Marleen Miller at 343-1024.
