Zaida Olive Phelps celebrated becoming a Bat Mitzvah on May 16, 2026, at Congregation Anshei Israel. She is the daughter of Scott and Kala Weinstein-Phelps.
Zaida attends Rincon Vista Middle School, where she is an active member of the band and on the principal’s honor roll. She enjoys spending time with her brother Zarek and their two dogs, Loki and Poe. She especially loves being with her family and traveling together on vacation.
For her Mitzvah project, Zaida is supporting La Paloma Family Services, an organization dedicated to providing foster care services for children in Arizona. She collected items focused on supporting teens in foster care, with the goal of bringing comfort and happiness during a challenging time in their lives.
