B’nai Mitzvah

Bar Mitzvah: Cyrus Cohen

Cyrus Cohen will celebrate becoming a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, April 18, at Kol Ami Synagogue. He is the son of Margaret Cohen and Matthew Adams.

Cyrus attends The Gregory School, where he is in the seventh grade. In addition to his regular classes, he plays in the orchestra and recently received magna cum laude distinction on the National Latin Exam. He plays sports year-round, especially basketball, and follows the game with enthusiasm. Outside of school, he enjoys video games, skiing, and chasing the family beagle. When not forced by his parents to watch Star Trek, he spends time with friends, including online games where the competition can get … loud.

For his mitzvah project, Cyrus volunteered with Pantry Packers in Jerusalem, where he helped pack food for families in need alongside close friends from his previous school. Pantry Packers distributes essential groceries and household supplies to low-income families and seniors across Israel, serving people from all backgrounds and communities.
