JCRC lunch and learn to focus on Iran, Arabs, Israel

Asher Susser, Stein Professor of Modern Israel Studies at the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, will lead a lunch and learn on “Iran, the Arabs and Israel” on Wednesday, Sept. 16, sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and the Weintraub Israel Center.

The talk, which will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging, 2221 N. Rosemont Blvd., will analyze the shifting balance of power between Iran and the Arabs in the 21st century. It will also address the potential impact of the Iran nuclear agreement on Israel, the regional order and the Middle Eastern balance of power.
