THA gets AED
The Steven M. Gootter Foundation presented Tucson Hebrew Academy with an automated external defibrillator on Friday, Nov. 13. The Gootter foundation’s mission is to save lives by defeating sudden cardiac death. Allen Yalen, a THA parent and Rincon Valley Fire District battalion chief, trained and certified each member of THA’s staff in Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED at the beginning of the school year. Interfaith Thanksgiving lunch
Marjorie Hochberg, cantorial soloist at Temple Emanu-El, speaks at Temple Emanu-El’s 13th annual Strauss ECE Interfaith Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Some 220 children and parents from the ECE and St. Mark’s Preschool and Kindergarten shared kosher turkey and sides, songs and friendship.
