Jewish Family & Children’s Services weekly Holocaust survivors group meetings have been taking place over Zoom, sometimes with special guests, such as a recent meeting with State Reps. Alma Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez Jr. and their sister, Consuelo Hernandez, a member of the governing board for Sunnyside Unified School District. “There is a lot of laughing, checking in with one another, and discussion. We watch YouTube videos that are relevant, such as a Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day) ceremony from Israel, in addition to viewing articles and updates from around the world,” says Sharon Glassberg, JFCS clinical therapist and wellness and support specialist.
