In conjunction with its performing arts department’s spring musical, “Fiddler on the Roof,” Pima Community College is creating a Family Heritage Celebration. The college is seeking submissions for a multimedia presentation showcasing the heritage of its students, faculty, staff and community, which will culminate in a public celebration on the opening night of “Fiddler” on Thursday, Feb. 20. The presentation will also be available online.
“This is an opportunity for our community to come together and share their unique family stories, celebrate their family heritage and learn about other cultures,” says Geneva Escobedo, chairperson of PCC’s Family Heritage Celebration committee.
To share a digital image (high resolution jpeg format no larger than 10 MB) or a written piece relating to your family’s heritage, email centerforthearts@pima. edu by Friday, Feb. 7.

• A digital photo of a family heritage artifact (jewelry, clothing, art, household objects, tools, toys, etc.)
• A digital photo of body art related to their family heritage
