Herbert Hamovitz, 85, died June 13, 2014.
Mr. Hamovitz was born in Pittsburgh and raised horses.
Mr. Hamovitz was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Edie Wise Hamovitz; brothers, Harry Hamovitz, Michael Hamovitz, Abe Hamovitz and Neil Hamovitz; sister, Mollie; son-in-law, Warren Immerman; and daughter-in-law, Amy Hamovitz. Survivors include his children, Gwyn (Chuck) Rogers of Mesa, Ariz.; Bruce (Anita) Hamovitz of Eugene, Ore.; Marcia (Steve) Harrison of Sarasota, Fla.; Linda (Bill Stoffers) Immerman-Stoffers of Tucson; sister, Ruth Sanes of Albany, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Norma Ziker of Pittsburgh; special friend, Joannie Cole of Tucson; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Evergreen Mortuary with Rabbi Robert Eisen officiating. Interment followed in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery.
