To recognize the continuing leadership of Joan and Donald Diamond in supporting the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona’s philanthropic efforts, JFSA has named one of its annual campaign events the Joan and Donald Diamond Lead Gifts Event.
Thirteen years ago, Joan and Donald Diamond hosted what would become the first lead gifts event, which was fairly small. “It grew through the years,” says JFSA Board Chair Jeff Katz, “helping to drive the Federation campaign forward and we are honored that Donald and Joan make it a point to attend each year’s event.”
The Diamonds hosted this year’s lead gifts event on Thursday, Nov. 17, connecting over 60 major donors to help kick off the 2012 Campaign. JFSA President and CEO Stu Mellan adds, “The Diamonds continue to be role models in the unyielding way they take a leadership role in our community’s most noteworthy charitable efforts, and their commitment to inspire the next generation of leadership is making a real difference for all of us.”
