MELISSA TRUELOVE, a teacher at Congregation Or Chadash and Tucson Hebrew Academy and winner of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona’s Outstanding Judaic Teacher Award for 2010, will receive a Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award for Excellence in Jewish Education at the Jewish Federations of North America general assembly in November.

JASON ISENBERG, owner/designer of Realm, an Urban Organics Company, and BRANDON PROTAS, learning community partnership coordinator for Sunnyside Unified School District, were among the “40 under 40” Tucsonans recently honored by the Arizona Daily Star.

ANNA JOLIVET, Ph.D., will receive the 12th Annual Ray Davies Lifetime Humanitarian Achievement Award from the Educational Enrichment Foundation at its awards luncheon Oct. 21. Jolivet, a retired assistant superintendent with Tucson Unified School District, is a founding member of the America-Israel Friendship League and was a pioneer chaperone for its Youth Ambassador Student Exchange program. A lifetime member of the NAACP, she has served on numerous boards including the Tucson Urban League, Pima Council on Aging, Sahuaro Council of Girl Scouts and Tucson Museum of Art.
