BRENDA TOBIN, a Peace Corps volunteer in Cambodia, was chosen to speak in the Khemi language at the agency’s swearing-in ceremony in Phnom Phen. Among those present were the U.S. ambassador to Cambodia and the Cambodian deputy prime minister. Tobin, a graduate of Hebrew High, University High School, and George Washington University, was one of the first members of the Jewish/Latino Teen Coalition and was a Szarvas Fellow. For the next two years she will teach basic health and nutrition at the Battambang Health Care Center, near the border with Thailand. Follow her trip at www.brendasbigadventure.wordpress.com.
