Joshua Langert and Leah Friedman announce their engagement.
Joshua is the son of Dr. Richard and Peggy Langert of Tucson and grandson of Cantor Charles and Sally Julian of Tucson.
He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He is currently a third year general surgery resident at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Leah is the daughter of Geoffrey and Sharon Friedman of Leawood, Kan., and granddaughter of Rosalie Rosenbloom of Dallas, Texas.
She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., and her master’s degree in elementary education from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She is currently a child-care provider.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 4, 2011 in Kansas City, Mo.
