Asia/Tye

Asia-TyeCarolee and Daniel Asia announce the engagement of their son, Reuben Hillel Asia, to Drew Feith Tye, daughter of Debbie Feith Tye of Rydal, Pa., and the late Cary S. Tye.

Reuben is the grandson of Jean Seder Asia of Gwynedd, Pa., and the late Hilda and Benjamin Asia; and Elizabeth Gordon Thompson of Lancaster, Pa., and the late Mary Grow and Norman Thompson. Drew is the granddaughter of Rose Feith and the late Dalck Feith of Elkins Park, Pa., and Evelyn Simon of Bal Harbour, Fla.

Reuben is a graduate of St. Gregory College Preparatory School. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. He worked for the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C., for two years before returning to Philadelphia, where he is a currently a student at the Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Drew graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Jewish studies and a minor in creative writing. She recently published her first book, “Here and Not Forgotten: Stories of a Wiser Generation,” recounting the personal histories of eight residents at a senior living facility. She is an admissions counselor at Temple University.

The couple is planning an October 2011 wedding.
