The board of directors of JEWISH FAMILY & CHILDREN’S SERVICES honored THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA as its donor of the year at its annual meeting on Oct. 11. JFCS also inducted its 2011 board. ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY has received a 2010 Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Award. The grant will allow ATC additional rehearsal time for its world premiere production of “Ten Chimneys,” which will run in Tucson Jan. 22-Feb. 12.
B’nai B’rith International held its annual Conference on Senior Housing in Tucson Oct. 15-18. Attendees visited B’nai B’rith’s three Tucson senior housing communities: B’NAI B’RITH COVENANT HOUSE OF TUCSON I and II and THE GERD AND INGE STRAUSS MANOR ON PANTANO.
