Shalom Baby! JPSA Welcomes Newest Members of Our Community

Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona (JPSA) and other partner organizations warmly welcome the newest little members of our community with a wonderful box full of baby items and resources about the Tucson Jewish community.

JPSA Interim CEO Emily Richman explains, “JPSA is involved in every stage of Jewish life – connecting, engaging, and supporting community members.  Our Shalom Baby program is an incredible way to welcome families and make them aware of the variety of programs, services, and organizations that make up our vibrant Southern Arizona Jewish community.

There are so many ways for families with young children to get involved. Our hope is that Shalom Baby is the first of many occasions when families will turn to us for Jewish connection and engagement.”

Wondering what’s included in the Shalom Baby box? Currently new additions receive a bandana bib from JPSA, a snack cup from the J, a book from PJ Library, a cactus teether from Tucson Hebrew Academy, a toy set from Jewish Family & Children Services, a onesie from Congregation Anshei Israel, and a handmade baby blanket crocheted with love by members of the Tucson Jewish community.  Along with these fun and useful items, families receive valuable information about these local organizations and programs.
