Of Blessed Memory: Burton E. Becker

Burton (Burt) E. Becker (born January 11, 1941) passed away Tuesday, April 25, preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, after a prolonged battle with cancer. He is survived by his daughters Beth Becker of Silver Spring, Md. and Amy Platizky (Adam Platizky) of Phoenix. He is also survived by his brother William Becker (Joyce Becker) of Tucson.

He and his brother William were practicing dentists on the east side of Tucson for over 40 years. He was active in his professional field of Periodontology. Burton was also very active in the Tucson community as a lifelong member of Congregation Anshei Israel, where he once served on the Board. He was also a member of the Tucson Sunset Rotary Club.

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Friday, April 28 at 10:30am at the Chapel with graveside service to follow and Shiva, in keeping with Jewish tradition, will be held, Sunday 4/30- Wednesday May 3 -10AM to 1PM & 6:30PM to 8:30PM at Burton’s home.
