Of Blessed Memory: Gail Kushner

Gail Kushner (Jampole) passed away July 28, 2022, at age 86. Formerly of Tucson, AZ, Shorewood, WI, she was born in Brooklyn, NY.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon L. Goodman, to whom she was married for 32 years, and the late Arthur Kushner, Gail was the former spouse of Irwin “Phil” Kastin, and dear mother and mother-in-law of Shelli Kastin (Ken Wilson), Meryl Kastin (former spouse Jim Flocchini), David and Mary Kastin, Philip and Tonya Kushner, and stepmother to Keith Kushner, Michael Kushner (z”l), Richard Kushner, Heidi & Paul Meyer and Kim & Jeff Lintner. She was a bubbie to Stephanie, Amy (z”l), Laura (Rob), Elliot, Sara, Adam, Cindy, Alena, Ben, Henry, Riley, A.J. (Delaney) and Jennifer and a great-grandmother to Jonathan.

Gail was the youngest and last survivor of 10 siblings. She leaves behind two dear sisters-in-law and was a special aunt and friend to many.

She was a game show and word-game aficionado and especially loved Jeopardy and Bananagrams. She was grateful for her caregiver of the past 2 1/2 years, Gloria Jean Brooks. Donations in Gail’s memory can be made to the Crown Center for Senior Living in University City, MO, where Gail lived since 2016.
