Communal menorah lighting will kick off Olson Center online Hanukkah party

It doesn’t matter if you spell it Hanukkah, Chanukah, or some other variation – The Ruth and Irving Olson Center for Jewish Life is celebrating the holiday this year. The Northwest Division of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona is bringing its annual Hanukkah party online, on Monday, Dec. 14, starting at 5 p.m. The party is free and open to all.

Rabbi Avi Alpert will lead participants in song and prayer as everyone lights their menorahs together. The party will continue with a chance to schmooze, Zoom-style. There’ll also be a Hanukkah dance party for children and their grown-ups.

A Zoom link will be sent upon registration at https://jfsa.ticketspice.com/nwchanukah.
