I wish to thank the Arizona Jewish Post and interviewer Debe Campbell for the well-written article (“Retiree takes social justice to heart,” 6/28/19). She provided important information I shared with her when we met at the monastery. She has seen firsthand the role that so many volunteers and Catholic Community Services play in providing a safe environment for migrants as well as assisting them on their journey for asylum. Once again, I wish to thank her, the newspaper and the organizations like the Jewish Federation, Jill Rich, and Temple Emanu-El, and those in the Jewish community who have contributed in so many different ways.
