On the first Friday of each month, the Jewish residents of Fairwinds-Desert Point retirement community in Oro Valley are fortunate to welcome Chaplain Pinchas Zohav from the Northwest Jewish Federation who leads them in a Shabbat celebration. With prayers, songs, stories, wine and challah, the Sabbath is welcomed joyfully by the residents along with Pinchas and his wife, Rita. It is Shabbat Shalom as the candles are lit! Thank you to the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona, Northwest Division, for making possible for us this meaningful experience. It is much appreciated. Pinchas is a jolly, knowledgeable person as is Rita. We find our experiences with them full of learning, fun and Jewishness.
