The Tucson chapter of the Brandeis National Committee will hold a high tea and installation of officers at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at Skyline Country Club, 5200 E. St. Andrews Drive.

Dr. Marilyn Heins will speak on “The Joy of Aging,” humorously addressing the disadvantages of growing older as well as detailing many of the pleasures that aging can bring.

Heins, who is 85, is a pediatrician and the founder and CEO of ParentKidsRight.com. She has written two parenting books, writes a parenting column for the Arizona Daily Star and has been a contributor to the Arizona Jewish Post.

The cost of the event is $28 for members, $30 for nonmembers. Proceeds will benefit the Tucson Endowed Scholarship Fund to award scholarship support to a Brandeis student, with preference given to students from the Tucson area.

Attendees are asked to bring new and gently used children’s books for women in prison to read to their visiting children, who will bring the books home.

RSVP with check payable to BNC to Arlene Zuckerman, 5448 N. Paseo Sonoyta, Tucson, 85750.  For more information, call Phyllis Fassler at 320-5004.
