THE WESTIN LA PALOMA RESORT AND SPA has appointed MARIA ELENA ARMENTA and MARC VAN DAM as group account directors and DEBORAH WEISS as group sales manager. Armenta previously served as the regional director at the Preferred Hotel Group in Miami. Van Dam, who will be based in Dallas, Texas, previously served as the North American sales director for Savision Inc. and an independent consultant for PHM Hospitality Inc. Weiss returns to the Westin La Paloma sales team with 30 years of hospitality sales experience, including serving as sales manager for the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort. She was previously special projects coordinator for the Tucson Business Committee for the Arts and a financial planner for American Capital Financial Services.
