Jewish Tucson will hold a bagel brunch on Sunday, Aug. 30, 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Tucson Jewish Community Center.

The event will allow newcomers, and those looking for a deeper connection within the Jewish community, to meet representatives of synagogues and local Jewish agencies and organizations and learn more about what Jewish Tucson has to offer.

The brunch will be held in the Fine Art Gallery of the Tucson J. The exhibit on display will be “Stitching Jewishly” by the Tucson chapter of the Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework, along with Anne Lowe’s “Jewish Touches of Whimsy in Paper Art and Calligraphy.”

The event will also feature samples from Cheri’s Desert Harvest, which makes all-natural products from fruits and vegetables indigenous to the Sonoran Desert. The company was recently certified kosher under the Phoenix-based Arizona K certification by Rabbi Yossie Shemtov.

Jewish Tucson is a joint project of the Jewish Community Roundtable, Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona.

RSVP to Ori Parnaby at 299-3000, ext. 241, or concierge@jewishtucson.org. Walk-ins welcome.
