THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA has hired DANIELLE LARCOM as director of Women’s Philanthropy. Larcom recently moved from Boston to Tucson with her husband and two sons. She was the marketing communications specialist at Temple Emanuel in Andover, Mass., where she also was active in the preschool and sisterhood. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Larcom is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and was an award-winning reporter and anchor for TV stations in New York, Maine and New Hampshire. She also owns a photography business specializing in newborn and family portraits.
MICHAEL RUDNER has opened THE BAGEL JOINT at 7315 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley. Born and raised in Boston, Mass., Rudner often visited his grandparents in Brooklyn — the inspiration for his New York-style bagels and his slogan, “If it ain’t boiled, it ain’t a bagel!”
EL DORADO AUDIOLOGY was featured in an Arizona Daily Star article on Aug. 24. “Tucson nonprofit helps woman regain her hearing” detailed how CAROLYN JARET, owner of El Dorado Audiology, working with the Arizona chapter of the Twilight Wish Foundation, fitted Patti Sereno with a new hearing aid. El Dorado Audiology and the hearing aid manufacturer covered the cost of the device. The Twilight Wish Foundation helps grant the wishes of low-income seniors.
