The Tucson Association of Jewish Libraries will hold its annual book sale in conjunction with the Jewish Culture Shuk on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Tucson Hebrew Academy. The sale will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the auditorium.
The sale will be unique because there will be no prices on the books, says Bob Cohen, TAJL founder. Shoppers will determine the price they want to pay for books. Proceeds from the sale provide the library with a major portion of its operating budget.
Quality Jewish books may be donated for the sale at the welcome desk of the Tucson Jewish Community Center.
In honor of Jewish Book Month, which begins this year on Nov. 16, the TAJL is asking all Jews, young and old, “to let us know which books have made the most difference in their lives and tell us why they were so influential to you,” says Cohen. Responses can be emailed to library@tucsonjcc.org or dropped off at the JCC.
