Hava Tequila, a party with a 1920s theme sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona Young Leadership department, will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 8 to 11 p.m. at Hotel Congress.

The event, for ages 21 and over, will include a DJ, dancing, photo booth, hors d’oeuvres, signature drinks and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

“We’re excited for the revamped version of Hava Tequila. We see it as the ‘must attend’ event for our Young Leadership. This year we’ve added a theme, moved downtown, and have shuttle service. It will be a great event that appeals to everyone in their 20s, 30s and 40s,” says Adam Goldstein, co-chair with his wife, Dana Goldstein, Shaun Kozolchyk and David Plotkin.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jewish-Latino Teen Coalition, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The coalition, a program of the JFSA Jewish Community Relations Council and the office of Rep. Raul Grijalva, brings together Jewish and Latino high school students for a multicultural exchange with an emphasis on social action.

Crest Insurance Group is cosponsoring the event and Ferrell Insurance is sponsoring a shuttle between the Tucson Jewish Community Center and Hotel Congress.

Tickets for Hava Tequila are $25 per person with a paid reservation before Feb. 4 or $35 at the door, which includes two drink tickets. To purchase tickets and reserve a spot on the shuttle, go to www.jewishtucson.org.
