BARRY WEISBAND has been hired as director of planning and partner relationships at the JEWISH FEDERATION OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA. Weisband’s 30 years of marketing and business development experience ranges from nonprofit to for-profit organizations, including large multinational corporations, and planning and launching new ventures. He has an extensive background in healthcare marketing and planning as well as the development and leadership of university-based entrepreneurship centers at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of Oregon and University of Washington.

Tom McNamara has joined ARIZONA PUBLIC MEDIA’S Arizona Illustrated as host. Arizona Illustrated returns to the air as a 30-minute weekly magazine-style TV and online series, premiering Sunday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. on PBS 6. McNamara has served as evening news anchor at KVOA-TV Channel 4 for the last 17 years and will continue in that role while hosting Arizona Illustrated. He has won numerous Emmy and Associated Press awards and has held on-air reporting and anchoring jobs in Scranton, Pa., Raleigh, N.C., Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Tucson. A native New Yorker, he is a graduate of Fordham University in New York City.
