Cari Frisch, daughter of James and Myrna Frisch of Tucson, and Jason Drimer, son of Jeffrey and Linda Drimer of Syracuse, N.Y., were married on Oct. 28, 2012, at Skyline Country Club, with Rabbi Robert Eisen of Congregation Anshei Israel officiating. Honored guests included Jason’s grandmother, Selma Radin of Syracuse. Cari has a B.A. from Emory University and develops programs and resources for families at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Jason has a B.A. from Colgate University and works in digital advertising for Fox Broadcasting shows on Hulu. Their honeymoon trip was to Southeast Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos).
How they met:
We met through JDate, which Cari joined through Rabbi Eisen, who was sponsoring JDate memberships. We e-mailed a couple of times and then went out on a date to Ditch Plains, a bar in the West Village (almost four years ago). We were there for hours, around dinner time, but didn’t eat anything, which became a joke of sorts, so on our “engagement day” we finally had a meal there.
The proposal:
We spent a day in the city where we visited different locations that were special to our relationship and the proposal occurred on a bench in Fort Tryon Park overlooking the Hudson River.
Wedding planning triumph:
Getting so many friends and family to Arizona to celebrate with us!
Special memories of the day:
Cari: Standing under the chuppah with Jason — laughing and holding hands. The recessional — we walked out to “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and the energy and excitement were palpable.
Jason: When I saw Cari for the first time at Hacienda del Sol, where we took our photos prior to the ceremony.
Wedding attire:
Cari wore a dress from Designer Loft in New York City. Jason wore a custom-made dark grey suit from MySuit in New York City, and Cari wore a matching sash. The necklace was Cari’s “something borrowed” — a friend had bought it for her wedding and didn’t end up using it. A lace, beaded piece from her mother’s wedding dress was wrapped around her bouquet.
