JOSH PROTAS, vice president and director of the Washington D.C., office of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs since 2009, is leaving JCPA to create a Washington office for Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger. Protas was previously senior vice president for planning and community affairs and director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. He is the son of JFSA Senior Vice President Marlyne Freedman.
