Our agencies regularly provide background discussions concerning Middle East negotiations, the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA for the cream of the crop of North American Jewry, which includes clergy, students, academics and all streams of Jewish religious observance, from Orthodox Jews to Reconstructionist Jews.
Whenever possible, we invite someone who is fluent in Arabic to report on the perspective of what Palestinian Authority officials have been conveying to their people of late – in Arabic – in their schools, their sports tournaments, their TV and radio stations and in all public statements.
The audiences that we meet with are all avid readers of their Jewish community newspapers.
However, the people whom we meet with consistently report that the Jewish media do not report what the PA conveys to their own people in their own language.
In June, at the annual AJPA conference, our agency met with the representatives of the JTA and asked if they would cover what the PA tells its own people in Arabic – by either getting yourselves a part-time translator in Arabic or go to one of the agencies that monitor what the PA conveys in Arabic..
Look at some of the gems that the PMW organization picked up from Abbas’s official PBC media since we met with JTA in June.

Following the JTA report of Sept. 18, which reported that PA/Fatah leader had a cordial meeting with Jewish leaders where he said that he would be “sensitive” to Jewish and Israeli issues, it would behoove the JTA to run ten declarative sentences which would accurately reflect what Abbbas’ media has been conveying over the past two months, where the official media outlets of the PA have endorsed those who murder Jews.
