Tasting/dinner planned: ‘Wine and Your Heart’

The Tucson Maimonides Society will present “Wine and Your Heart: Wine Tasting & Dinner” with guest speaker Dr. Tedd Goldfinger on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Skyline Country Club.

Goldfinger is the founder of Desert Cardiology of Tucson Heart Center and chaired a Tucson Cardiology Update Colloquium for 13 years. Widely published, he has been a significant contributor to the knowledge-base on alcohol and cardiovascular disease. He worked with, among others, Professor Serge Renaud, Ph.D., of Bordeaux, France, known as the father of the “French Paradox,” (see “Wine-loving cardiologist practices medicine of — and from — the heart,” AJP 9/26/08, www//jewishtucson. org/page.aspx?id=185994&page=4).

The Tucson Maimonides Society is an affinity group of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. The event is open to physicians, dentists, podiatrists, psychologists, and their guests. The cost is $40 per person (interns and medical residents, $20; medical students, free).
