Helen Shaw, 82, died April 6, 2010.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., Mrs. Shaw’s first job was with the American Red Cross, helping displaced people after World War II. She was also executive secretary at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, and the J.B. Williams Co. in New York City. She moved to Parsippany, N.J., in 1966 and worked at Foster Wheeler Energy Corp, in Livingston, N.J. She moved to Tucson in 1992 and was a member of the Tucson Jewish Community Center for many years. She was a three-time survivor of breast cancer.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Arnold Shaw; children, Caryl Shaw Foster of Scottsdale and Dr. Steven Michael Shaw of Tucson; sister, Ann Blank of Tamarac, Fla.; and one grandchild.
Graveside services were held in Scottsdale.
