Community Submission Guidelines

We encourage story submissions from community members! Please pitch your idea before you begin writing.

Approved articles will be posted free of charge online and may be included in our community newsletter, space permitting.

Submission Requirements:

  • Length & Media: Articles should be 300–800 words and include at least one high-quality photo.
  • Format: Content must be provided in the format of a newspaper-style article. Press releases, snippets, or other non-narrative formats will not be accepted as stories.
  • Relevance: Stories must be of general interest and have a clear tie to the Southern Arizona Jewish community and/or Jewish life broadly.
  • Purpose: The primary purpose of community stories in the Arizona Jewish Post is to give individuals and organizations a space to share Jewish voices, personal stories, experiences, and information, not to persuade, campaign, or promote divisive discourse.
  • Commercial Content: Stories should not function primarily as advertising or promotional copy for specific events, campaigns, or organizations. If you are interested in additional ways to promote an event or fundraiser, please contact us about advertising or sponsorship options.
  • Content Restrictions: Content that is partisan, violent, sexual, hateful, or disrespectful will not be accepted.

Editorial Process:

The professional team will respond to pitches as promptly as possible. We respectfully reserve the right to screen, edit, or reject any submission.
