In a remarkable testament to 50 years of dedication to Jewish education, Tucson Hebrew Academy (THA) is set to host an unforgettable Gala at Tanque Verde Ranch on Sunday, March 10th, starting at 5 pm. Deborah Oseran, a key member of THA’s Board of Trustees and a vital figure in the 50th-anniversary planning committee, eloquently reflects on the school’s evolution. Highlighting the changing landscape of Tucson over the last half-century, she emphasizes that THA has not only adapted but has “steadfastly held onto its core values.” THA stands as a beacon, “a Jewish Community Day School in Southern Arizona, fostering an environment where children joyously experience and explore their Judaism within a supportive community.”
Amidst the excitement of the approaching Gala, a silent auction has just been launched, elevating the celebration to new heights. This exclusive auction featuring stunning pieces by local artists, beckons participants to browse, bid, and do good with each dollar. Every bid contributes not only to the support of the annual 8th-grade Jewish heritage trip, but also illustrates the community’s commitment to nurturing the next generation. The Gala promises a feast for the senses with a delectable array of Middle Eastern cuisine and spirits, all under the kashrut supervision of Rabbi Yosef Lopez. The atmosphere will be further enlivened by live music provided by the American Israeli band, Soulfarm, offering attendees the chance to dance! Additionally, for the convenience of guests, childcare services will be available, as well as transportation arrangements, ensuring that everyone can fully immerse themselves in the festivities.
