Head Football Coach Jedd Fisch Joins a (Really, Truly) Fun Night Out on Campus…And Helps Fuel the Jewish Future

Photos from last year’s Come Home to Hillel

UArizona Hillel’s annual fundraiser is less than three weeks away–on February 11–and we are thrilled that Head Football Coach Jedd Fisch will be our special guest at the opening mini-plenary.

Our signature event–Come Home to Hillel–is a truly unique and fun night out. Unlike any other fundraiser (or friendraiser) in town, we’ve crafted a night where you can experience life like a Jewish Wildcat. Because we’re a bit siloed–and because our student population is targeted and transitory–we realize that lots of Tucsonans just don’t have a deep sense of the incredible, diverse, and varied programming that comes to life every day at Hillel. Now’s your chance.

In addition to hearing from Coach Fisch about his Jewish identity, guests will have the opportunity to rotate through three mini-sessions of their choice. Some options are learning-focused, like versions of our popular Jewish and Israel Learning Fellowships. Some are creative, like our student-led paint-and-sip, where you can create a beautiful glass wine goblet and sip on wine or mocktails. Some are delicious, like the hamentaschen bake with extremely creative fillings, or the Arak-tail making lab with our Israel Fellow. Some focus on wellness or tikkun olam. All are immersive and experiential, and guests will participate side-by-side with students and take home great crafts, treats, and memories. Plus, I’ll give an important briefing on antisemitism on college campuses, the current climate at UArizona, and the progress we’ve achieved in forming a task force on antisemitism and Jewish life on campus.

Of course, there’s great food and drink. We’ll have the kosher pizza truck, a churro cart frying up fresh dessert, an incredible buffet by Asher Amar featuring upscale versions of college student favorites, and several fully hosted bars with bespoke UArizona cocktails.

Tickets are only $100 each ($60 of which is tax deductible). We want to give you a peek into the incredible work we’re doing at UArizona Hillel–and a peek into how bright the Jewish future truly is–but also give you a great time. The event works best when you come with friends, and we would love to welcome a crowd.

See you there?
