Former Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona (JPSA) COO Lindsey Baker and current JPSA board member Jeremy Sharpe are both honored in Biz Tucson’s current issue as members of “22 Rising Stars to Watch: Tucson’s Next Generation of Leaders”.
The magazine describes the list of “leaders and visionaries” as community members “working toward a prosperous future for Tucson and Southern Arizona”.
Baker, who recently departed JPSA after 2-plus years as Chief Operating Officer spoke of the similar needs of both the private and non-profit fields for leadership. “Nonprofits need leaders who know how to manage finances, raise funds, galvanize communities and mentor and lead staff – the same skills needed in the private sector.”
Sharpe, president of Sharpe and Associates, serves on the boards of both JPSA and the Banner Health Foundation and touted advantages the Tucson community has over many larger markets with an “affordable lifestyle we can create for our kids, with hiking, swimming and outdoor activities year-round.”
