JFSA and JCF rebrand as Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona

After more than two years of planning and collaboration, the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona (JFSA) and the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona (JCF) have integrated into a single operating entity. The new organization shall be known as the Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona (JPSA).

“As JPSA, we are now positioned to pursue our combined Federation and Foundation missions in a holistic manner as we re-dedicate ourselves to building community through partnership and repairing the world through philanthropy. I am thankful for JFSA’s former President & CEO, Stuart Mellon, for promoting this combined structure, and for our current leadership team for bringing that vision to fruition.” Deborah Oseran, Immediate Past JFSA Board Chair.

JPSA builds on a 75+ year history of serving as our community’s coordinating body for fundraising, philanthropy, planning, and communal services. This combined organization represents a shift in thinking about Jewish philanthropy, supporting community needs, and how to engage the next generation of philanthropists and leaders.

JPSA’s mission is to partner with organizations, families, and individuals to foster and enhance community and respond to those in need – enriching Southern Arizona, the Jewish people, and the world. Our vision is to achieve the full potential of Jewish philanthropy, now and for future generations.

Our new logo, a thriving tree of life, is inspired from the traditional Jewish story of Honi the Circle Maker and the Carob Tree. “When I was born into this world, I found many trees planted by my parents and grandparents. Just as they planted for me, I now plant for my children and grandchildren so they will inherit a fruitful world.”

“Having been raised in this Jewish community and having served in many leadership roles across our community, it is very meaningful to see the formal integration of our Foundation and Federation. The volunteer and professional teams, as well as community at large, have worked diligently to get to this point and I am excited to see the impact of JPSA for generations to come.” – Anne Hameroff, JPSA Board Co-Chair

Graham Hoffman served as President & CEO of JFSA/JCF during the integration process, and today serves as President & CEO of JPSA. We are fortunate to have Anne Hameroff and Bruce Ash as Co-Chairs of the JPSA Board.
