David Irwin Wolsky, 66, died suddenly on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
David was born July 13, 1954 in Chicago, where he lived until moving to Tucson with his family in 1994. He embraced life in Tucson and developed many close friendships as well as a love for bike riding and hiking. He had a passion for helping people and worked in the mortgage industry for over 26 years. He devoted time and energy to Tucson Sunrise Rotary, an affiliation that was fulfilling for him. He loved family, friends, music, and cooking.
David was a talented artist in many different media. He explored photorealism, mixed media and his latest love, abstract expressionism in a style he called “pointlessism.”
Survivors include his wife of almost 36 years, Faye Ferleger Wolsky; children Adam (Shikha Chaganti) of Princeton, New Jersey, and Becka of Los Angeles; sister, Bari (Mark Ross) of Tucson and brother-in-law Len Ferleger (Donna Kruman) of Pittsburgh.
A private funeral service was held Oct. 1, with Rabbi Thomas Louchheim and Cantor Janece Cohen officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tucson Sunrise Rotary, Congregation Or Chadash, or The Drawing Studio.
