The Chabad Oro Valley Sukkah Mobile arrived at the Dove Mountain Walgreens on Tuesday morning, Oct. 6.
“When you are inside the sukkah, the walls surround you like a hug from G-d, reminding us of G-d’s love, protection, and the themes of Sukkot – joy and Jewish unity,” says Rabbi Ephraim Zimmerman. Visitors to this mobile sukkah can shake the lulav and etrog in the four directions, recite the prayers, and have a bit of something sweet to enhance the experience of eating in the sukkah.
The Sukkah Mobile will be in SaddleBrooke near the main entrance of Bashas’ on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 10-11 a.m., and at the main entrance of Walmart (near Foothills Mall) on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 10-11 a.m.
Zimmerman says between visits at shopping centers (including one in Oro Valley on Monday) and visits to individual homes (by appointment), the Sukkah Mobile will have reached about 100 people.
